    • PHIL-AM FUND CAPS 2ND SOLICITATION CONFERENCE IN MANILA

      On December 15, 2014, the Philippine-American (Phil-Am) culminated the series of solicitation conferences for its 2nd Grant Cycle at the InterContinental Hotel in Makati City. A total of 173 representatives of Luzon-based civil society organizations (CSOs), corporations, business chambers, academic and professional associations attended the conference. Regional conferences were held in Davao City and Iloilo City in November 27 and December 2, 2014 respectively, to reach institutions in Mindanao and Visayas regions.

      The Phil-Am Fund is a five- year $24M (about P960M) grant facility funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) implemented by the Gerry Roxas Foundation with SyCip Gorres and Velayo Co. (SGV) as its management advisory partner. Launched in September 2013, the grant facility has already awarded 12 grants to date. The grantees provide local solutions to address a range of issues in economic growth, biodiversity protection, combating human trafficking, strengthening basic education and fostering good governance.

      All Non-state, private, for-profit and non-profit organizations are invited to apply for the fund. Deadline for submission of applications is on January 9, 2015.
