    The USAID, or the United States Agency for International Development, is the US federal government agency that oversees and administers the US’s global assistance with the twofold purpose of furthering America’s interests while improving lives in the developing world.

    In the Philippines, USAID focuses on the following program categories: economic growth; democracy and governance; health; education; environment, energy, and climate change; and humanitarian assistance.
